Our Sub-Committees Are:
Finance & Audit Sub-Committee
Oversees MEACA’s financial health through budgeting, planning, and audit oversight. Ensures financial stability and sustainability to support the organization’s mission.
Events & Sponsorship Sub-Committee
Plans and delivers conferences, workshops, and networking sessions while building sponsorship partnerships. Ensures events drive learning, collaboration, and professional growth.
Membership Services Sub-Committee
Enhances the member experience by managing applications, benefits, and retention strategies. Builds a supportive, engaged community of compliance professionals.
Country Rep Sub-Committee
Strengthens MEACA’s presence across MEA by fostering local connections, promoting initiatives, and tailoring programs to address regional compliance challenges.
Women in MEACA Sub-Committee
Advances women in compliance through tailored events, mentorship, and knowledge-sharing platforms. Builds visibility, leadership, and community for female professionals.

MEACA brings together experienced personnel in ethics, compliance, and governance whose expertise helps achieve the Association’s mission to strengthen professional standards and ethical leadership across the Middle East and Africa.
Darja Galante is a globally minded compliance leader with experience across Europe, USA, APAC, and the Middle East, leading multinational teams and navigating complex regulatory environments worldwide. She has held senior roles across industries including medtech, FMCG, technology, telecommunications, and manufacturing, with organizations such as ByteDance and Nokia, and currently serves as Global Operations and Strategy Head at VEON HQ in Dubai.
Known for her pragmatic, roll-up-the-sleeves approach, Darja is passionate about building business-friendly compliance programs and connecting professionals across borders.

Sergey Konov is a compliance and integrity professional with over 20 years of experience supporting ethics and compliance programs across Banking, Oil & Gas, Pharma, and FMCG in Central & Eastern Europe and the India, Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa region. He focuses on strengthening ethical culture, managing risk, and working closely with the business to make compliance more practical and effective.

Ricardo is recognized for driving cultural transformation through pedagogical innovation, digitalizing GRC workflows and managing cross-border regulatory risks, he focuses on building high-performance, multicultural teams that integrate integrity into the core of business operations.

Karima Benamar is a commercial strategy and business development professional with more than 13 years of experience in commercial roles across business development, marketing, client engagement, and strategic growth. She is recognized for driving go-to-market execution, revenue growth, client engagement, and strategic partnerships across regional markets.
With a strong background spanning commercial strategy, marketing, business development, and client engagement, Karima is known for connecting cross-functional teams and translating market opportunities into scalable initiatives that deliver measurable business outcomes. She has supported strategic growth initiatives, enhanced revenue visibility through commercial reporting and pipeline insights, and contributed to regional campaigns and event strategies that strengthen client relationships and market presence.
Prior to her current role, Karima held commercial and marketing roles at Radisson Hotel Group managing key accounts, negotiating high-value contracts, and leading revenue-focused campaigns across the hospitality sector. Her experience has positioned her as a commercially driven professional with a strong understanding of market dynamics, stakeholder engagement, and strategic growth.
